Projects

We believe in the potential of Psychoanalysis as a tool for understanding and improvement in different areas of society. For this reason, Inter-Cambio proposes spaces for intervention in institutions, aimed at developing and caring for work teams.

Both its students and graduates, as well as its teaching staff have previous work experience, and in various fields of application, which allows it to have a multiplicity of capacities depending on the needs that each project or intervention requests.

Fulfilled projects:

  • Project: Low-cost psychotherapeutic support for people who have suffered or suffer from Covid, relatives of these people, frontline care workers with Covid patients. The population was offered the possibility of contacting Inter-Cambio and accessing low-cost therapeutic spaces with our professionals who voluntarily donated their time and likewise, our teaching staff offered to supervise the cases for free.
    Highlights:

    • Crisis intervention model in 6 sessions.
    • Articulation of volunteer experiences with training.
    • Sense of community Inter-Cambio.
    • System for capturing, assigning and monitoring patients.
    • Notion of individual focal intervention in crisis situation.
  • CUSCO: Intervention in crisis. A great forest fire is produced due to the strong winds, turning the cultural ceremonies of the towns in the area into a tragedy since a large part of the inhabitants (mainly men and young people) are trapped in the flames. Many die, including several members of the same family. The entire community, especially the children, was shocked. Psychological support is requested.
    Highlights with teachers:

    • We worked with and through community actors as agents and interlocutors with whom the diagnosis and design of the intervention is made, taking into account cultural particularities.
    • We worked with consideration and respect for the particular characteristics (historical, linguistic, related) of each community. Get into their bonding mindset, don’t impose our worldview.
    • Development and care of a professional bond with members of the community.
    • Elaboration of duel. Bereaved mental health.
    • The place of ties and the expression of affectivity in mental health.
    • Inter-Cambio WITH the community.

    Highlights with families:

    • Elaboration of the duel.
    • Conceptualization of Community Mediators for multilingual and multicultural work.
    • Family group with particularities by regions. Intervention in a natural group. The community in community cultures.
