Inter-cambio
Inter-Cambio, Institute of psychoanalytic psychotherapy, is a private institution, constituted as a non-profit association. Since 2013, it has been dedicated to the training of psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapists and to the dissemination of Psychoanalysis in Peru through intervention in community and social projects that cover all areas of society.
We are interested in training professionals who contribute to the development of the clinic -individual and group- and to psychoanalytic theory in Peru. The bonding ethic proposed by Psychoanalysis is the central aspect of our proposal. This framework leads us to create an academically rigorous learning experience that includes the psychotherapist in his individual originality.
Likewise, Inter-Cambio seeks to contribute to the understanding and transformation of our social and cultural problems using Psychoanalysis as a tool to reveal the unconscious aspects of our collective problems.
With the name of Inter-Cambio we want to express that it is in the encounter with the other that true transformation is experienced. Change can be understood as a cure, but also as an evolution towards complexity, which is only possible when we build bridges between different parts of our mind, different disciplines, different knowledge and places. From there, Inter-Cambio’s commitment is that of a living, complex project, with a projection towards different aspects of social and academic life, firmly rooted in our identity as Peruvians and psychoanalytic psychotherapists.
